As many of you know, our Bradford County neighbors to the east suffered life-altering weather and devastating flooding in mid-September.
Among the casualties was the Towanda Food Bank… who lost 90% of their food inventory and were forced to spend their financial savings on clean-up, drywall, and repainting efforts to their building. In response to this loss, the Potter County Showstoppers 4-H Club has joined forces with several local volunteers to begin a food collection. The Towanda Food Bank re-opened last Wednesday, October 5th, but they are in desperate need of the Following items:
Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Canned Foods like Tuna, Pork & Beans, Soups, Cake/Brownie/Muffin Mixes, Snack Foods, Toilet Paper, and Bars of Soap.

It would be great to have community support for this food drive. We know that money is tight all around Potter County, but if everyone could donate just one item, what a wonderful impact we’d have on our neighbors in Bradford County. Just think… it might be us dealing with Mother Nature next time.
