CALL TO ORDER: The regular meeting of the Potter County Commissioners was called to order at 1:10 pm., Thursday, May 20, 2010, in the Commissioners Conference Room. Present: Commissioners Doug Morley, Paul Heimel and Susan Kefover, Chief Clerk Todd Brown, guest Anne Nelson and members of the media Teri McDowell, Brent Addleman, and Gerri Miller.

· Resignation of Cheryl Powell as part-time secretary/clerk II in Divorce Division of Prothonotary’s Office.

· Prothonotary Amy Moshier requested the temporary emergency hiring of Nancy Chitester, current record preservations clerk, to fill vacancy created by Cheryl Powell’s resignation, effective May 17, 2010, not to exceed 34 total hours/week for Nancy Chitester in both capacities, until such time as Cheryl Powell vacancy is filled. Commissioner Morley noted that the employees’ union has consented to the temporary emergency hire.

COMMISSIONERS’ REPORTS
Commissioner Kefover reported on a recent meeting on Homeless Assistance programs; the upcoming Robin Hood Rally; Summer Youth Employment Program opportunities and Federal Emergency Management Agency requirements for flood protection levees that will affect Galeton and Coudersport boroughs.
Commissioner Kefover announced that the news conference to spotlight the burdensome administrative requirements of state and federal mandates will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, June 2, at Potter County Human Services.
Commissioner Heimel distributed copies of the May edition of Monthly Developments, a publication of the Potter County Natural Gas Task Force Public Education Committee. He said there will be no Task Force meeting in June. The July meeting will include a presentation on
