POTTER COUNTY SALARY BOARD

January 28, 2010

CALL TO ORDER

A meeting of the Potter County Salary Board was held at 11:05 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2010. Present were Commissioners Doug Morley and Susan Kefover, Treasurer Krista Miller, guests Dan Campbell and Jim Morean, and members of the media Teri McDowell, Neil Linderman, and Gerri Miller via phone.

Commissioner Doug Morley, present; Commissioner Susan Kefover, present; Commissioner Paul Heimel, present; Treasurer Krista Miller, present; Chief Clerk Todd Brown, present; Recording Secretary Lucinda Weakland, present.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Jim Morean expressed his opposition to taxation on the gas and wind energy industries. He also stated his dissatisfaction with the “bailout” of the county pension fund and the tax increase that was required to help pay the cost. He asked the commissioners for an email response to his concerns. He provided an handout of his statements to the commissioners.

Commissioner Kefover moved to approve the minutes as presented. Commissioner Heimel seconded. Commissioner Kefover, yes; Commissioner Morley, yes, Commissioner Heimel – yes, Treasurer Miller – abstain.

ADJOURNMENT

Commissioner Heimel made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Kefover seconded.
